Home Visits, Healing Conversations, & Acupuncture
While I still see many patients in my offices around the Bay Area, I also see some of my patients in their own homes, on their own schedule. I do this virtually (online) and in person. My appointments last about an hour, sometimes longer if my patients needs the time. I see only a few people each day, so I am never rushed.
The most relaxed doctor visit you'll ever have
Receiving care at home is a relaxing, healing experience.
By traveling to you, I'm able to take much better care of you in the privacy and comforts of your home. You'll never need to worry about being late to appointments, or deal with traffic or parking headaches. No wasting precious energy and time sitting in a waiting room. Instead, you can truly relax and enjoy the benefits of acupuncture.
Acupuncture treatments are deeply relaxing, and last about 30-40 minutes. Once we're finished with our acupuncture treatment, we'll have plenty of time for questions and discussion, and we'll update your diet and nutrition plans to adjust for any changes in your health.
How did I decide to start doing home visits?
For most of my career, I practiced in an office, in a big integrative health center, seeing over 20 patients per day. In early 2015, I had a life-changing conversation with a patient who was responding very well to acupuncture. Despite her progress, she surprised me by saying, “I can't come back to see you. Not one more appointment. I spend every day going to doctors' appointments and I just can’t keep up. I’m so overwhelmed.”
That’s when I knew I had to make a change to serve the patients who most needed my help. So I started visiting many of my patients at home.

Does acupuncture hurt?
No. It doesn't hurt. I know acupuncture can seem scary to many people. However, the truth is acupuncture doesn't hurt, and most of my patients fall asleep during our short treatments. The needles are very fine and most patients don't feel a thing.
Acupuncture will relax you in a way that you seldom can on your own. Once the energy starts circulating, your whole body just lets go. It can be deeply relaxing and soothing. This is part of the healing and restorative power of acupuncture.
